In the matter of the Claimant No. 171.336 of James Bythewood, Guardian of the Minor Children of William Morris late a Private of Company "G", 33 Regt of U. S. C. Infantry for a
Pension State of Florida County of
Putnam Before the undersigned, a Justice of the Peace of the State of Florida for the County of Putnam, personally appeared T. S. Haughton and
Elizabeth M Houghton his wife, well Known to me, and whom I certify to be credible persons, who being duly Sworn according to law, depose and say, that they are residents of the
County and State aforesaid. That they were well acquainted with William Morris deceased, in his lifetime, the husband of Minerva Morris, now Minerva Bythewood, who was a servant
of Ex Governor William D. Mosely of said State of Florida. That her maiden name, before her marriage to said William Morris was Minerva Masson. That she was married to the said
William Morris with the consent and approbation of her Master, at his residence in the County aforesaid -- her young Mistresses, this Deponent Elizabeth M. Haughton, and her sister,
adjusting to dress her for the occasion, and this Deponent T. S. Haughton and Governor Mosely being also present at said marriage. That of this marriage were afterwards born John
Morris and Sarah Morris, children of said William Morris and Minerva Morris, who are still living with their Mother and Step father the said James Bythewood, at
Jacksonville in said
State of Florida and that these Deponents have no interest in said claim for Pension
