Office Disbursing Officer Bureau R. F and A. L.
Tallahassee Florida November 28th 1866
I am directed by the Maj. General Commanding, to inform you of his intention to transfer the Hospital and Asylum now located on your property at Magnolia, to the Chattahoochee Arsenal.
Your property will therefore be required for use of the Bureau no longer than Jany 1st next, from which time sent for the same will cease.
I have a letter of yours written my predeassor Maj. Deherst (?) on Nov. 10th from which it appears the Major Intended visiting St. Augustine for the purpose of paying you the amount due for rent of
Magnolia property. I shall be down during the first of the coming month to superintend the removal from Magnolia, when, if satisfactory, I wll bring the money and pay you up to the 1st of January; or, if
you will designate some person at Jacksonville with whom I can leave the money, it would perhaps facilitate matters somewhat. I enclose herewith vouchers in triplicate for your signature which you will
please sign and return to me with directions how I shall forward you the money.
Your Obdt. Servant
