Personally appeared before me a trial justice for the County of Beaufort State of aforesaid Nancy Mattison and Clara Sanchez both of the town of Beaufort ? county aforesaid who being
duly sworn depose and say that they were well acquainted with William Morris late private in Co. C 33rd USCT deceased before ? the time of his death; that at the time of his death he left
only two children in all viz: John Morris and Sarah Morris, the issue of himself and his wife Minerva, that he had no other children at the time of his death, excepting as his wife Minerva
was far advanced in pregnancy at that time, the child being born soon after his death, and dying soon after birth; and that said children were under sixteen years of age when he died
and that we have no interest in the claim in behalf of said children for pension.
